Does Auri AI Keyboard work in all apps?

Auri works in most apps and standard text fields, including Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, browsers, and social apps. iOS switches to Apple’s keyboard in password, PIN, and many card fields. Some apps can also choose not to allow third-party keyboards.

I tap the keyboard feature buttons, but nothing happens. What should I check?
  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Make sure you enabled Allow Full Access in Settings.
  3. Update Auri and iOS to the latest available versions.
How do I switch my default keyboard to Auri AI?

To switch to Auri AI Keyboard:

  1. Touch and hold the globe keyboard key.
  2. Select Auri AI.

If Auri AI does not appear in the keyboard list, enable it in Settings:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select Auri.
  3. Select Keyboards.
  4. Enable Auri and Allow Full Access.

If Auri does not appear in Settings, close and reopen the Settings app. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, find Settings, then swipe up on its preview. You can also restart your device.

If you deleted Auri AI Keyboard and want to add it again:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to General > Keyboard > Keyboards.
  3. Tap Add New Keyboard.
  4. Select Auri AI and turn on Allow Full Access.
How can I access all 80+ keyboard languages?

Open the Auri app settings, scroll to Keyboard Settings, tap Keyboard Languages, and select the languages you need.

You can then switch between your keyboard languages with one tap.

Why am I being asked to “Allow Full Access”?

Full Access lets the keyboard connect to the internet. Without it, you can still use the keyboard to type, but AI features such as grammar correction, email replies, writing, paraphrasing, and translation will not work.

iOS uses Apple’s keyboard for secure fields such as passwords and PINs. Many apps also block third-party keyboards in payment fields. Full Access does not change those protections.

What data does Auri collect, and can the keyboard access sensitive data?

The keyboard cannot access secure fields such as passwords and PINs, and many apps also block third-party keyboards in payment fields. Plain typing stays on your device. When you choose an AI feature, Auri sends the message text needed for that request without your name, email, IP address, or device ID attached. The request is encrypted in transit.

Auri also handles account, device, usage, and optional cloud-processing data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Can I use paraphrasing, translation, or grammar correction on selected text?

Yes. All keyboard features except Continue Writing, Help Me Write, and Email Reply work on the whole text or on a selected part.

Because of iOS limits, parts of a long selection may be omitted. For the best result, apply a keyboard feature to a selection only when it is a few words long.

Can I transcribe voice notes in languages other than English?

Yes. Auri offers selectable cloud transcription engines for multilingual voice notes. You can also choose On-Device English to keep transcription on your phone.

Can I use Auri AI without paying?

Yes. Auri is free to start, with daily limits on some features. Pro raises or removes those limits. Current prices appear in the app and on the App Store.
